Project: Garland Neighborhood Management Academy

The academy equips community partners to take charge of their neighborhood experience and to participate in decision-making affecting their quality of life. Participants explore city services, leadership, organizing, and social capital concepts. GNMA participants move from residents to EMPOWERED residents, equipped to realize neighborhood vision and goals.

Project: Green Bay Neighborhood Leadership Council

The Green Bay Neighborhood Leadership Council supports the formation of Neighborhood Associations (37 to date), fosters leadership development, provides operating and competitive project grants, funds crime prevention activities, commissions public art, brings grassroots and civic leaders together monthly, and is replicable in your community!

Project: Gang Prevention Strategy

Long Beach, California

In Long Beach, police and prosecutors have developed a three-part strategy that suppresses gang violence, creates community partnerships, and keeps at-risk kids in school. Combining new technology with a neighborhood-based approach, the Gang Prevention Strategy could become a model for prosecutors across the nation.
